Built for harsh environmental conditions, the WP1030MXD fully complies with 2020 NEC Article 406.9 (B)(1) for wet locations and extra-duty applications, as well as CEC Article 26-702. It features cULus Certification for Type 3R outdoor metal enclosures and meets extreme cold-impact testing down to -60°F (-51°C). With a 12 lbf. impact rating and a reinforced hinge pin tested to exceed 40 lbf. of stress, this double-gang cover delivers long-lasting security for commercial refrigeration, engine block heaters, and heavy-duty outdoor power requirements.

Weather sealing and security are paramount: the unit includes a lockable hasp accepting padlocks up to 1/4" (6 mm) shank diameter, a 1/8" (3 mm) thick neoprene gasket with mounting screw slits, and UV-stabilized polycarbonate inserts. The deep enclosure accommodates up to two 12 AWG cords (2x12 AWG) with a 3.125-inch depth profile.
