Wire Diagram

Wire connector :are color-coded to indicate the number of wires of various gauges the can connect so you can easily choose a connector that is neither too large nor too small for your job.

• Orange connector :handles up to two 14-Gauge wires.
• Yellow : accept three 14-guage or two 12-guage wires.
Red: connects four to five 14-gauge of four 12-guage wires.
Gray or Blue: connects six 14-guage or five 12-gauge wires.

Some green connectors :have a hole in the tip allowing one grounding screw terminal, so an extra pigtail isn’t needed. Wire connector packages should list the number of all wire gauge sizes and combinations the can safely connect.
