Similar to the tough coat on our a-line rough service lamps, the coat prevents glass shards from escaping in the event of a broken lamp. The coating contains the shards until the lamp can be disposed of properly. Ideal for the food service industry, the coating process maximizes clarity and keeps the lamp ends exposed for better contact and to meet regulatory requirements.
