High Bay Lighting Control is made simple with the CMRB-6 and CMRB-50 Series Passive Infrared (PIR) occupancy sensors! These self contained units are line powered and can switch a large range of line voltages directly without the need for a Power Pack. Both the CMRB-6 and CMRB-50 mount directly to the end of a fluorescent fixture through an extended 1/2 inch chase nipple, and are keyed to easily mount through a 1/2 inch knockout. With mounting heights up to 45 Feet, these sensor are perfect for High Bay Lighting Controls.
The aisle way version, the CMRB-50, provides Bi-Directional High Bay Aisle Way sensing extending 70 to 110 feet when mounted at heights of 30 to 45 feet. The CMRB-50 sensor's view pattern provides coverage of the lighting areas of three typically spaced High Bay fixtures. Therefore, when mounted directly to a fixture the coverage area extends out to the area that is lighted by the neighboring fixtures. This effect is useful when traveling in a fork-lift truck, since lighting needs to be initiated “On” ahead of the truck. The CMRB-50 installs to a junction box or lighting fixture with a 1/2 inch knockout.

Applications
- Individual Control of Fluorescents
- T-5 & T-8 Fluorescent Technology
Operation
The sensor detects changes in the infrared energy given off by occupants as they move within the field-of-view. When occupancy is detected, a self-contained relay switches the lighting on. The sensor is line powered and can switch line voltage. An internal timer, factory set at 10 minutes, keeps the lights on during brief periods of no activity. This timer is push-button programmable from 30 seconds to 20 minutes, and is reset every time occupancy is re-detected. This state-of-the-art sensor requires no manual sensitivity adjustments.

Installation Notes
Passive Infrared sensors detect motions crossing the beams much stronger than when entering the beams. The outer beams used for initial detection should be aligned for maximum coverage.
Heat producing sources controlled by the sensor must not be in the view pattern of the sensor. If sensor cycles or appears to continually stay "On", move sensor or mask lens segments that view the source.
